Um 14:02 Uhr schoß Frauenheim einen Torpedo auf einen der Dampfer. Dieser Torpedo traf die Orangemoor in der Mitte. Nach einer starken Kesselexplosion sank das Schiff sehr schnell. 18 Besatzungsmitglieder kamen ums Leben. Der Kapitän und 21 Besatzungsmitglieder wurden vom britischen Dampfer [[Brandenburg]] gerettet und in London an Land gesetzt. |
