Die 18. U-Flottille wurde am 14.01.1945 als Ausbildungsflottille, in Hela geründet. Die Flottille existierte nur 3 Monate, die Boote der Flottille wurden während diese Zeit auch als Frontboote in der Ostsee eingesetzt. Die Flottille wurde am 07.03.1945 beim anrücken der Roten Armee aufgelöst.
